TLDR sayhitogambit inquires if a VPS is sufficient for Chatwoot and a docker application in a small business. eddippla and v_shnu provide guidance, with v_shnu advising a minimum of 4GB RAM and docker installation for lower-spec machines.
Please add any additional information to this thread. The team will follow up.
I think it definitely would, yes
Sure, my experience with chatwoot is limited however i have a lot of experience with Linux if you need help with that
But i still know a lot about chatwoot lol
Thank you so much! I'll add you rn o/
Hey, you will run into issues if going with 2 GB of RAM.
https://www.chatwoot.com/docs/self-hosted/deployment/requirements#hardware-requirements
sayhitogambit How much are they charging you cause if it's over $10 that's over priced to hell.
Hey rinndoge, way under 10 bucks. And v_shnu, it says: "4GB RAM is the required minimum memory size and supports up to 10,000 conversations a day" - but I'll never reach 10k conversations/day. 25 conversations day maximum for now.
But I'll take a look at machines over 4gb just to be sure
can anybody confirm that Chatwoot won't install if under 4GB?
Thanks!
Hey, you will have issues when installing/upgrading.
Use the docker installation if you are on a lower spec machine
Hey, thanks v_shnu I'll be using docker, yes 🤜🤛
